Export Marketing Development Grants (EMDG) provide grants for expenses spent on marketing your products and services overseas.
The EMDG scheme supports a wide range of industry sectors and products and is funded by the Australian Government. The scheme offers grants in 3 tiers, these tiers include:
Tier 1. Ready to export
Tier 2. Exporting and expanding and
Tier 3. Exporting, expanding and strategic shift.

The scheme:
- encourages small and medium sized Australian businesses (SME) to develop export markets.
- provides up to 8 grants to each eligible applicant.
- is flexible, meaning that you don’t have to start at Tier 1 and progress to Tiers 2 and 3. You can apply for any grant tier at any time depending on the business need.

The grant scheme is non-competitive, so if you are eligible and apply, you will receive a grant. Eligible expenses include:

- Promotional Literature and Advertising (including websites, Google adwords)
- Overseas Buyers Visiting Australia
- Registration and Insurance of Intellectual Property
